Compliments about my caskets from funeral service providers...

Ha, I can't make this up.  Two caskets delivered during October and both were handed off to owners of reputable funeral service providers in southern Maine.  Both of these owners complimented me on the construction quality and simple beauty of the Maine Green Casket.

In closing comments during our exchange, they both asked for my pricing of these simple caskets to them, at wholesale, of course.

I told them that was not in the plan, at the moment.

I love it.

Many years ago, writing a newspaper feature about the business of death, I visited a few undertakers and saw their display rooms of caskets, and learned a little about how their prices are marked up. I suspect most people don't think they can buy caskets anywhere else.
